Carbonic acid bath


In a carbonic acid (CO2) bath, mineralized water is mixed with carbonic acid anhydride.

Therapeutic effect

Carbonic acid anhydride in water comes out on the skin as gas bubbles, which causes different changes in the body through widening of arterial and venous capillaries. As a result, arterial blood pressure is decreased. Moreover, CO2 bathing has a calming and relaxing effect.
