Ionophoresis


It is an electrotherapeutic method involving the introduction of therapeutic ions into the tissues with the use of an electrical field. Ionophoresis only uses chemical compounds that are subject to electrolytic dissociation. Such compounds are called electrolytes. A doctor determines the length of the treatment and medications.

Therapeutic effect

Depending on the medicine, the action may be e.g. analgesic or anti-inflammatory.
