This type of treatment, also called underwater shower, is performed in a bathtub with the use of a water stream at a particular pressure. Depending on the application area, e.g. backbone, shoulder, lower limbs, patients assume different body positions.
Therapeutic effect
Underwater massage is calming and relaxing, decreasing arterial blood pressure and hyperaemia through widening of blood vessels.
